Desktop software development for industry and enterprise
Heavy-industry software that communicates directly with hardware, works offline and has full access to system resources.
We step in where the web falls short
We deliver solutions across a wide range, from ERP, MES and SCADA systems to bespoke enterprise tools.
Desktop software is the right choice for applications that need to communicate directly with devices on the production line, keep working without an internet connection or process data at high performance on the local network. We build bespoke applications for plant and facility managers, R&D teams and corporate IT departments; if data needs to flow to and from your ERP or other systems, we cover the enterprise integration side within the same project.
- Electron.js and .NET Core architecture
- RS232, Modbus and TCP/IP communication protocols
- Local databases: SQLite, Realm, PostgreSQL
- Kiosk mode and hardware lock integration
- Automatic updates and remote management
- Multi-licence management and activation
Industrial-grade desktop solutions
Hardware Integration
Direct communication with PLCs, sensors, cameras and serial-port devices.
Local Data
Offline operation, automatic sync and data security.
Secure Access
Role-based authorisation, audit logs and transaction history.
Industrial Protocols
OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT and custom device protocols.
How does a desktop software project progress?
A transparent four-step process, from on-site requirements to live use.
Discovery and requirements analysis
We review users' workflows, the devices and protocols to connect, offline expectations and existing ERP/MES systems on site.
Architecture and technology choice
We choose between .NET and Electron and define the local database, synchronisation and licensing model; screen mock-ups are validated with operators.
Development and commissioning
Sprint-based development, integration testing with real devices or simulators, on-site installation and user training.
Maintenance and support
New versions are rolled out via automatic updates and error logs are monitored. Enterprise projects include 1 year of free maintenance, followed by SLA-based 24/7 support.
Frequently asked questions about desktop software
If the application needs to communicate directly with devices such as PLCs, serial ports, scales or cameras, run without an internet connection or process large volumes of data on the local machine, desktop software is the better choice. If browser access from different locations is the priority, a web application is more suitable. We can also build hybrid set-ups with a desktop client in the field and a web panel for management.
We use .NET for projects where hardware access and performance matter most, and Electron.js where a modern interface and rapid development are needed. For local data we prefer SQLite, Realm or PostgreSQL. We make the choice by weighing up the target operating system, the devices to connect and how easily your team can maintain it.
Yes. We build applications that exchange data with PLCs, sensors and SCADA systems over Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT, RS232 and TCP/IP. Rather than replacing your existing SCADA set-up, we can also design reporting, traceability or operator screens that work alongside it.
Yes. We start by reviewing the existing application's code, database and users' workflows. We then propose a phased migration plan that preserves your data and, if needed, runs the old and new versions side by side for a while, so you can move to the new system without interrupting production or operations.
We respond to your request within 24 hours. After a requirements analysis meeting, we deliver a project proposal covering scope, timeline and cost within 3–5 business days. Enterprise projects include 1 year of free maintenance; after that we offer SLA-based 24/7 support packages.
